I used to have a sort of problem with impulse buying and I’ve been doing well (for the most part), but as soon as I saw a Moleskine on my way to the cashier I had to get it. I have fallen off the wagon once again. Here’s a sketch from the book.

delightfully gruesome Carlos, I love it! A good day to you ~Scott
Thanks Scott, I appreciate it. I like the quality of the paper so far, but have yet to truly put it to the test. I’ll have to make time for that soon.
Awesome sketch ๐
Thanks, LK!
But moleskines’ are so cool! i totally understand
If this is a self-portrait you did right after giving in and getting that new moleskin, you shouldn’t be so hard on yourself, resorting to self-mutilation. Geeze!! (jk, of course)
Okay…seriously…a really fun piece, Carlos! Thanks for sharing it! Love the humor you inject into so much of your work!
Thanks Tom, I appreciate it. As much as I refrain from committing impulse buys this was well worth it. I won’t beat myself up about it. This time.
That is how I feel sometimes…that feel like I could rip my own skin off. Awesome drawing.
Drawing is the cheapest, and most efficient form of therapy I know. Thank you for sharing Amy, I appreciate it.
Full of energy-great drawing.
Thanks Elena, I appreciate the compliment!
Great stuff! I bought a Moleskine at an airport last June and haven’t drawn in yet. Too threatened by the nice paper. I prefer to sketch on copy paper. Thanks for the follow.
Thanks, Chris. I enjoy your work. I was hestitant to draw in mine at first. After I realized how much wear the pages can handle from the washes and pen nibs , I was sold.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, Carlos ! I am loving your work, and those mole skins are the BEST for constant sketching! Not an impulse at all….a necessity for any artist to get those images down. Beautiful.
Thank you very much! I agree, I tend to favor the smaller sketchbooks- they’re easy to travel with and easy to fill with random ideas. It’s difficult at times, but I try not to buy any new sketchbooks when I have an unwrapped one sitting at home. ๐
