A portrait completed with watercolor and ballpoint pen. I’m still deciding wether her expression is wonder, or resentment. I’m leaning towards wonder.

I don’t see resentment. Apprehension, maybe. Wonder and apprehension.
I can see apprehension. How would you interpret the overall mood of the piece?
Like she is trying to make a decision and go for something she wants, but she is apprehensive because whatever it is will be a big change for her; one that is good, but taking the first step is always scary.
Yeah, I’m leaning towards wonder, too. If she furrowed her brows, then it would’ve looked more like resentment. I like the choice of hair color and stars on her chest. 🙂
Thanks, Krissy. There’s something about red hair that translates so well on paper, I try to have fun with it.
Her eyes tell me “resentment” …. but the whole piece tells me wonder but I lean more for resentment.
love your style. 🙂 I have to say “wonder”
Thank you, I appreciate the compliment!
